Look what i made!!

I am so proud of myself. I have made a lot of stuff in my life but most of it is just stuff. i have never really ventured out into the land of clothing because i seemed as if it had to be so exact. lol Someone gave me instructions on how to make this skirt from scrap material and i LOVE it.

Meah thinks its cool too. She wanted to wear it as soon as she saw it, but she didnt want to take off her dolphins jersey so there you have it. she is my prissy little tom boy. I swear some day she will be playing baseball in her pretty little dress. lol Anyways i was hoping this would be easy because i am looking for something to make the little girls in my life for christmas as money is super tight right now. I know they will love them as much as meah does.

3 months old

I can not believe my baby is already 3 months old. Well actually he is almost 4 months old but i havent gotten to write about this so here it goes. lol! It seems like just yesterday we were waiting for him to arrive wondering what he would look like. What his personality would be like. Now 3 short months later he has quite the personality. he is a smilely cuddly little guy. I love his baby cuddles. I love that he likes me to sing to him and rock him to sleep. I seriously cherish every moment of his babyhood. Now dont get me wrong the kid can still scream like someone is pinching him for what seems like days, but when he isnt doing that he is just so darn cuddly.

meah is so good with him now too. At first she was kinda unsure of him i think. she loves babies but she hadn't really taken to aaden yet. Now she loves him so much. If she hears him wake up before i do she will run up to me "my brother is awake!" "come see" Just the other day he was laying on the floor and meah goes up to him and starts talking to him saying "Hello, My prince" "I love you my prince" i say this to aaden all the time and so now meah does too. meah is seriously like a little mini me. I love it. and then sometimes i dont, lol.

He babbles all the time now. just a cooing away, or if he wants to get your attention he will let out just one screech to see if you will pay attention to him. he is also very facinated with his hands he will seriously stare at his hands for like 30 min just moving them around and watching what they do. it is so fun to just watch him. I wonder what goes on in that little head of his.

I think any day now he will roll. he gets so close to rolling and then just gives up and cries till you pick him up. he also kind scoots forward a little bit. I know it isnt really on purpose and he is scrapping his poor little forehead on the floor/blanket as he goes but man is he strong.

There's always room for cake.

So i decieded that i would try out a reciepe for cake batter. I am such a box person so this was huge for me. I let meah help but mostly she just played in the flour. lol. This child is obsessed, and i mean obsessed with eggs. She wanted to crack the egg, she wanted to touch the egg, anything you can imagine she wanted to do with the egg. I, however, feel she is way to young to crack the egg so instead she whined the whole way through the rest of the cake making because she wanted to do the eggs. crazy kid. Then came time to lick the spoon, man did that change her tune. She licked that spoon until there wasnt one drop left on it.

So i made the cupcakes and put them in the oven to store them since i didnt have anywhere else to store them. The next day i gave one to meah and the other two kids that were at my house that day. meah gobbled hers right up, the other two kids took one bite and wanted to get down from the table. hmmm guess i wont be making that reciepe again only one kid would eat it. Later on that night i decieded i would try one one bite and i about puked. the cupcakes had taken on the taste of the oven. ga ross i was spitting out pieces of cupcake into the sink for like 10 minutes. well at least i know it wasnt the reciepe. I mean i had tried them the night befoe and i didnt think they were that bad. lol

Aaron's grandpa died last week, his funeral was yesterday in Michigan. When aaron woke up on Monday he decieded he needed to go to the funeral. Less than two hours later he was gone and i began my adventure in single momhood.

Monday night meah would not go to sleep, she wanted daddy, we called daddy, then we called him again, finally around 11:15 she passed out. Tuesday night went about the same, around 10:45 she fell asleep. Both days she woke up at 7 am and took a crappy nap. Anyone who knows meah knows this is NOT enough sleep for her. She is my sleeper. She sleeps in and she used to go to bed with no fuss, ask to go to bed even.

All this brings me to my o so fun day yesterday. When i got off i packed up the kids and took them to target so i could get some perscriptions filled. I dropp off the script and they tell me it will be ready in 30 min. Ok great so i take my over tired 3 year old and my screaming 3 month old on an o so joyous walk around target for 30 min. I get back to the pharacy and when the pharmasist sees me he tells me he needs to come out and talk to me. Great that is not something you really want to hear from a pharmasist. So he tells me that aaden's dosage is too big for his age according to the insurance company and they are not authorizing it to be filled. Ok can we go back to the fact that my child is a GIANT and the medicine goes by weight not age. Stupid insurace companies and thier stupid rules. The parmasist tells me that the med is 78 dollars if i want to still get it, or i can call the insurance company and try to get them to override it. Um 78 dollars is so not gonna happen so i ask him if he could just refill the old perscription and i wil just up the dosage myself just so i dont have to wait to get hes meds. So he goes back to his little computer and tells me that he can but it isnt refillable till tomarrow. AHHHHH! ok stay calm we still have some at home. That is fine i will pick it up tomorrow. No problem, i mean what is dragging two kids through target one more time ya know. Not to mention meah knows that is where aaron works so the whole time we are there its "where is daddy, i want to see daddy, i want a cookie, where is daddy, is this daddy's work" grrrrrr.

So i go and pay for the stuff i didnt need that i pick up because i had to walk around for a half an hour and head to the car. when i get there meah throws one of her famous I dont want to get into my carseat fits complete with her o so fun pelvic thrusts making it nearly impossible for me to buckle her. I finally get her buckled like 5 full minutes later and we are off. I drive down the road and push on the brakes and what do i hear the wonderful sound of metal on metal. What.The.Hell. I very cautiously drive us home and get the kids in the house.

About that time a wonderful angel of a peson calls to check up on us, knowing that aaron was away, and asks if there is anything i need. I start telling the story of my day and he then puts his wife on the phone and i tell her the story too. I now have no clue how I am A)going to get aaden's perscription tomorrow and b)going to get aaron from the airport on friday. Good news TIM CAN FIX BRAKES!!! So he comes over and gets my car and Aarons mom is at the auto parts store getting the brakes. In the meantime both my kids fall asleep and i start racking my brain as to who i know that can come sit with my kids so i can go get my car. What a mess i know. I call the Darya, she doesnt answer, i call again, no answer. So i rack my brain again who else, i call david and steven and they say sure no problem they will come and watch the kids till cathy can get here. Darya calls back and says she is on her way so i call and tell david and steven never mind but thanks for the offer. She gets here and i run over to get the parts from cathy and take them to Tim.

As i am driving i am start thinking how lucky i am to have so many great people in my life that would drop everything they are doing at 8:00 at night to help me out. Sometimes it really does take a village.

By 10:30 i had a new set of brake pads and roters on my car and it was safe again for me to drive my children around.

It has definetly been a trying couple of days. I can not wait till friday when my wonderful husband comes home. I salute you single moms. I truely dont know how you do it.

Out of the mouths of babe's.

2 year olds are great! the things this kid comes up with really blow my mind. She is so into what things look like these days. Example: she will bite her sandwich and say "look mommy, its a house, or a horse, or dog, or whatever she thinks it looks like. Today we went to lunch with aaron's mom and she was drawing on a piece of paper and says "look mommy a "w"" I look down and sure enough she had drawn a "W" on the paper. Seriously blows my mind.

O and I have to share this story, even though i have told it a million times, it still is a great story. The other day meah is "taking a nap" ha ha jokes on mommy. so anyways she comes out and says "mommy there is a dinosaur in my window" I said "really meah a dinosaur?" "yep, come see" so i go in there and inbetween the storm shutter and her window are 2 lizards. She crouches down and says "see mommy A DINOSAUR" i was laughing so hard i was crying. Then i told her that in fact these were lizards and not dinosaurs.

Then today with go over her aunt leah's house and Leah asks her about the dinosaur in her window. Meah looks and her, shakes her head and says "no leah, not dinosaur, a lizard" and rolls her eyes as if leah was just so dumb to think it was a dinosaur. LOL this kid seriously melts my heart.

Before i had kids i always knew i wanted them, but i could never have imagined how much i would love them. From the day the dr, or was it the nurse, put her in my arms i was in love. Then when i was prenant again i wondered how i could love another the same way. its like each child you have your heart just grows a little bit more to let some more love in, and out.
